"Pentecostal Power" by Charles H. Gabriel (1856-1932) was first published in 1912 and appeared (higher key of Ab) in the Cokesbury Worship Hymnal. It has been a favorite hymn at revivals, camp meetings and evangelistic services and has been included in dozens of recent hymnals. Gabriel was a prolific composer, having composed over 7,000 songs, anthems and cantatas. He used a number of pseudonyms, including that of author Charlotte G. Homer, to whom credit as author is given in the Cokesbury Worship Hymnal.
