Here In Joy We Offer Praises (Lewis Folk Melody)

British Methodist pastor and hymn writer Andrew Pratt has composed this hymn for use in the 2006 50th anniversary celebration of clergywomen's ordination in the United Methodist Church. It is also appropriate for other occasions.

Rev. Pratt suggested use of the Scottish tune, Lewis Folk Melody, which appears in the Scottish hymnal, Common Ground (no. 66), with accompaniment by John Bell of the Iona Community as it appears below. It can also be sung to other 87.87D tunes, such as Hymn To Joy, which is also available on the Discipleship Ministries website.
