The Association of Annual Conference Lay Leaders

April 26-29, 2019

Drury Plaza Hotel
Santa Fe, New Mexico

Speakers from Discipleship Ministries will worship with us and discuss the vision/role of lay leadership in the UMC for a time such as this: keynote speaker, the Rev. Dr. Jacqui King, Director, US Conference Relationships for Discipleship Ministries; and David C. Teel, the new Director of Laity and Spiritual Leadership.

Thank you to all who have registered so far. This is a reminder for those who have not made it to the registration portal yet that registration is open for only one more week until March 25.

To register for the 2019 AACLL meeting go to: https://www.eiseverywhere.com/aacll.

The registration cost is $125 for participants, and $100 for guests/spouses. It includes: resource materials, refreshments during breaks, and meals each day – and a trip to Santa Fe Mission Tour and honorarium for our Guest Speaker.

Each participant is responsible for BOTH their own travel arrangements and hotel room reservation at the Drury Plaza Hotel. To ensure our group rate at the Drury Plaza please use this LINK. After March 25, our group rate for hotel rooms cannot be guaranteed.

Registration/check-in is scheduled from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the hotel lobby, with dinner following at 6 p.m. We will then gather for Opening Worship and Communion. Saturday includes teaching sessions, jurisdictional breakout meetings, free time to explore Santa Fe, and an evening vespers service. Following Sunday morning business meetings, we will tour the McCurdy Ministries Community Center (a 105-year-old National Mission Institution of the UMC combining the efforts of United Methodist Women, Global Ministries, and the New Mexico Annual Conference), discuss the geography of grace/our calling, and enjoy local cuisine on that night. Following morning meetings and closing worship our gathering ends with lunch on Monday, April 29.

We hope you can join us to connect with fellow annual conference lay leaders from across the UMC connection, visit and learn about the key role of lay leaders in our church for a time such as this, experience historic Santa Fe, be inspired during worship, and care for the ongoing business of AACLL.
