Pray for the Church Planting Movement

I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.

- Philippians 1:3-6 NRSV

Prayer, said Wesley, is “the breath of our spiritual life.

(Explanatory Notes Upon New Testament, 1 Thess. 5:16)

Path 1 exists to lead the movement in The United Methodist Church to create and cultivate new communities of faith for Jesus in the United States and in the world. The source of our hope and the focus of our actions should be based on the power of God’s grace. It’s by grace that we are created, called, and commissioned as agents of God’s mission in the world. The success of our efforts will only be possible and sustainable if it is bathed in prayers. In prayer, we engage with God through him all things were created, from whom all blessings flow, and for whom nothing is possible.

Rev. Dr. Bener Agtarap, Executive Director, Path 1

We invite you to become a member of our prayer partners network. We are launching our prayer network for church planters, launch teams, conference staff, etc. to enter their specific prayer requests, concerns, and praise reports. These will be collected by our staff and shared with the prayer partners network via email. This prayer network connects the needs of church planting with prayer partners across the connection committed to praying daily.  As a prayer partner you are helping to build our denomination’s church planting movement through prayer.
