Members of the Africa E-reader Team will again make their way to Nashville in July for the group’s fourth annual meeting.

The team is made up of the E-Reader Project’s trainers and facilitators located across the African continent. Holding annual meetings gives team members a time to connect face-to-face, share reports from schools they have visited, and evaluate the Project’s impact. This year, the meeting’s chosen theme will be “Charting a Path Forward” as the team discusses the Project’s future.

This is Nashville’s second time serving as the host city. Last year’s meeting, the first in the US, gave team members an opportunity to tour four United Methodist Agencies and The United Methodist Publishing House learning more about each organization’s work. The team had previously met in Maputo, Mozambique (2016) and in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (2017).

The team was formed to ensure that African voices were included in the Project’s leadership, directing and guiding its work in the central conferences. The Africa E-Reader Team continues to aspire towards its goal of empowering leadership for those working throughout the continent.
