Season of Creation 2025 Worship Resources
By Lisa Hancock

The Season of Creation is an ecumenical movement that encourages Christians to engage in prayer and worship that renews our relationship with God the Creator and all creation, empowering us to act for the well-being of our common home. The Season of Creation begins September 1, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and ends on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis.
This year, the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement has created resources for the Season of Creation following the theme of the worldwide movement and drawing on the book The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer. These resources are designed for worship planners and Christian educators to use during the Season of Creation 2025, but may be adapted for use in worship or educational settings at any time, with the permission of the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement. Each week’s theme is connected to a scripture passage and a suggested quote from The Serviceberry text. Worship leaders may choose to read both the text from scripture and from The Serviceberry in worship if that fits the context and practice of the congregation.
