You’re Invited: Join the Next Session of the Antiracism Discipleship Connective Learning Series
By Bener Agtarap

The Antiracism Discipleship Connective Task Force invites you to our next learning session, where we will deepen our understanding of the historical and ongoing experiences of Indigenous and First Nations peoples in North America, particularly within the context of The United Methodist Church.
This month’s session will be facilitated by Rev. Cody C. Robinson, a citizen of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma. Rev. Robinson brings a lifetime of commitment to theological education, Christian formation, and justice work in both the church and the academy. He serves as senior pastor at D.D. Etchieson Memorial Indian United Methodist Church in the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference and holds leadership roles with the Cookson Hills Indigenous Center and the NSU Wesley Foundation. We are honored to learn from his insights and experiences.
Why This Matters
As United Methodists called to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously, it is essential that we confront the church’s complicity in the harms done to Indigenous communities and commit ourselves to the work of justice. This session offers a meaningful opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in actionable solidarity with Indigenous siblings in faith.
Prepare for the Session
In the spirit of shared responsibility and growth, we ask all participants to come prepared by exploring the following materials:
