Creation in Christ and Season of Creation Worship Resources 2026

Creation in Christ Sunday (aka, Feast of Creation in Christ or Feast of Creation) is a new, ecumenical feast day in the worldwide Christian calendar. In the United Methodist tradition, we do not often use the term “feast day,” but in the wider Christian tradition, a feast is another way of referring to a church holiday, such as Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and All Saints Sunday.

This year is the first time that churches around the world will begin celebrating Creation in Christ Sunday. To mark this momentous occasion, the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement worship team has put together a wonderful set of worship resources for Creation in Christ Sunday and the whole Season of Creation, which spans September 6-October 4. The resource includes worship planning notes, preaching notes, liturgies, music resources, a small-group study, and much more!
