The Lord is Your Light
(Based on Psalm 27)

The Lord is our light;
We refuse to walk in darkness.

The Lord is our salvation;
We refuse to walk in fear.

When pestilence stalks the land,
When jobs are scarce,
When the sound of war drums come too close for comfort,

We refuse to walk in darkness; we refuse to walk in fear!

The Lord is our light and our salvation
Whom shall we fear?

Prayer Meditation: Call Us Again
(Based on Matthew 4:12-23)

We never imagined
how difficult it would be
to follow and not lead,
to listen and not talk,
to take directions from you.

But here we are
talking too much,
listening too little,
and leading one another into troubled places

Call us again
and we will listen this time.
Call us again and we will follow.

And if we should fail you again …
please suffer us to try anew.
