Swirling pictures
Hearts amazed beyond belief
In an instant
Dreams blown away
Lord, have mercy!

Lord, have mercy
as your people sift through the rubble
Lord, have mercy
as bodies continue to be found
Lord, have mercy
when displaced people begin to long for home
and church leaders begin to assess damages.
Lord, have mercy as people settle into the process
of rebuilding their lives. Amen.
