In Communion’s Holy Supper

Words: R. Frederick Crider, Jr.

Music: tune Wellesley, by Lizzie S. Tourjee, 1877

This new hymn for Holy Communion is by United Methodist pastor R. Frederick Crider, Jr., and is based on Mark 14:22-25. The hymn reflects on the sacrament as both a private and shared experience in which we recall God’s love, Jesus’ sacrifice, and celebrate Christ’s resurrection and eternal presence.
