Canadian Basic Pattern of Worship

Epworth on the Green is a congregation of the International Foursquare Gospel Church in Toronto, Canada, but they use the same basic and historic pattern of worship as United Methodists and many other churches, Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox, worldwide. That basic pattern is Gathering (or Entrance), Proclamation and Response, Thanksgiving and Communion, and Sending forth.

The video on the website describes in a simple and accessible way how the basic pattern of worship works in Epworth's congregation.

This video could be used as part of a class or discussion group exploring the basic pattern of worship, as part of a parent/child session in a series such as Come, Come, Everybody Worship that helps children and their parents understand worship in the United Methodist Church and their place in it, or even as a model for congregations trying to create video introductions for worship in their own settings.
