DURATION: 59 min
PRESENTER: Will Randolph, Director of Aging and Older Adult Ministries

The title for this webinar is taken from the Beatitudes, with its promise of comfort that Jesus made to all who grieve. It focuses on the common older adult care challenges in a world where roughly 50 percent of married older adults are experiencing or will experience aloneness after the age of 60 because of the death or divorce of their mate.

This webinar examines the impact of this event to understand the needs of those who move into and through widowhood over time. It looks at grief and widow resources, the pastoral care process, and ways that churches can minister to the grieving through their own congregation or by participating in larger programs. It offers sound advice, best practices, and innovative trends to help church leaders offer assistance and deliver on the promised comfort of scriptures.
