A Coordinated Effort: Reflections on the Nashville, Tennessee, Flood of May 2010

Would . . .
That the floodgates of justice pour out as impartially and deliberately
as water from a dam . . .

That government agencies evacuate drug sellers and murderers from public
housing as presciently and efficiently as clientele from luxury hotels . . .

That sandbagged boundaries keep communities safe from raging currents
as prudently and effectively as for a business park . . .

That the powers-that-be exercise control and shut themselves off
like electrical voltage during a flooding . . .

That the response to those in need not require such a total loss of
life's work and life's love.

It was a coordinated effort.
So . . .
They know how to do it!
