A Christmas Greeting
Words: Rev. Dr. Brolin Parker
Music: Theresa Lee-Whiting
This new choral work is written for choirs to sing in worship on Christmas. Included are links to two different versions of the work: SATB and piano, or SATB with instrumental ensemble. A subtitle on the instrumental score, "An Introit for Christmas," is most appropriate for this work. The beginning of the piece embodies the longing of Advent, but it quickly turns to joy as the text ushers in the spirit of Christmas.
The Rev. Dr. Brolin Parker has been a UMC pastor for 40 years, shepherding many churches in Upstate New York and also serving as Superintendent for two different conferences in that area.
