Got planting stories to share?

Path 1 offers a forum for church planters and supporters of church planting to connect with one another in mission. We encourage visitors to share stories, insights, and information that serve to advance our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The Path 1 Blog

Our blog provides stories and articles from contributors heavily involved in church planting within The United Methodist Church at a local, conference, or national level. Each month our bloggers write about a particular theme or issue related to church planting. If you’re a planter, planting team member, coach, partner, or just a supporter of church planting we invite to visit and comment on our blogs. Email us at path1@UMCdiscipleship.org if you would like submit a blog or have an idea to share.

Snapshots of Hope

Snapshots of Hope is an online scrapbook of sorts where members of new churches share moments captured in photos and captions of lives changing through their ministry. Whether you’re a planter, plant team member, partner, or just someone whose life has been changed by a new church’s ministry, this place is for you. All you need is a photo capturing a moment of hope and a caption.  We hope you’ll help us share your church’s story with the world. To create your snapshot just click “Upload your Snapshot of Hope” and follow the directions on the screen. Use the dropdown search to find your congregation by name and state.

New Church Starts Database

As Path 1 tracks the denomination's efforts to reclaim our habit of planting a new church each day, this database provides a key connection to you. Enter information into the connectional database of United Methodist New Church Starts in the United States. If your church plant has started in the past four years, and you don't find your congregation listed under "Snapshots of Hope" we ask you to add your information.
