Enhancing Theological Education in Sierra Leone
By Stephen Bryant
Robin Pippin and Julu Swen continued through West Africa from Nigeria to Sierra Leone, to deliver 18 e-readers to the College of Theology and Management and Church Training Centre (CTMCTC), an affiliate institution of The United Methodist Church in Sierra Leone. Robin Pippin conducted an e-reader training with the faculty of CTMCTC in Freetown.
The DRI representatives also met with the resident bishop of the Sierra Leone Episcopal Area, Rev. Dr. John K. Yambasu, to discuss the possibility of starting a publishing team in the Sierra Leone Annual Conference. Bishop Yambasu was given an e-reader as a symbol of how partnership between DRI, other agencies and the SLAC can enhance theological education once the new United Methodist University is opened in Sierra Leone.
