We Will Not Forget
We pause to remember loved ones affected by attacks in the United States at the World Trade Center Towers in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001. Eighteen years after these unthinkable and malevolent acts, we gather to encourage one another, to offer God’s word of healing for God’s people.
We declare the war on terrorism is a battle that belongs to God.
As we grieve lives lost to wars and learn of increasing unrest in the world—plots to murder and maim planned throughout each land—we declare with unified and fervent hearts that we will not live in fear.
We believe God stands with us and rescues us when we cry out in times of trouble.
We trust God’s word and live by the Spirit.
We believe the God of Peace will heal, protect, and guide God’s people
wherever they may be in the earth.
We await God’s wonders worked among us, even now.
Amen!
