High Impact Residency Program Focuses on Forming Community Identity
By Bener Agtarap

Building a core team is one of the most critical components to successfully launching a new faith community. Discipleship is at the core of these efforts to identify, equip, and build a team because disciple-making is all about empowering people to become co-creators with God in our communities. Therefore, building and empowering that team helps us create an ecosystem in our faith community where disciple-makers can emerge and lead the church to engage and connect with their neighbors intentionally.
In the February webinar session of the High Impact Residency Program series, we will focus our conversation on forming a new faith community identity. We will explore how God has gifted and shaped this new faith community that you are leading to make a distinct and significant contribution in your context. We will talk about how to empower your church planting team through a process of discernment to discover what makes this new faith community unique. Knowing your church identity and the calling God has placed on your church is what this discernment of community identity is all about. This process is not about being better than all the other churches in the area. Instead, it is focused on being clear about your identity as a new faith community. In our webinar, we will talk about several different resources that can help you and your team clarify your values, mission, and vision and develop a strategy that aligns with your passion and calling.
