Laity Sunday is a day intended to call particular attention to the primary ministers of the church, the whole of the baptized, primarily in daily life and service. In planning worship, you may find it most effective not to change the patterns of worship and worship leadership you usually have, but rather to ensure the focus of preaching and prayers more particularly lifts up the ways in which laity where you are, as well as the laity we remember as saints this day, boldly lift up the cross in all they do and have done.
