Receive This Servant

Words: Glenn Ethridge, 2015
Music: Tune AZMON by Carl G. Gläser, arr. Lowell Mason, 1839
Topics: Death, Resurrection, Hope, Funerals and Memorial Services
Scripture: Mark 4:39

As an expression of praise to God, Glenn Ethridge wrote this hymn in May of 2015 following the death of his son. His words give hope to those experiencing the loss of a loved one, and they offer praise to God for the gift of life, particularly the promise of eternal life. This hymn was later featured in worship as a part of the All Saints service at Emory University. May it give your congregation a voice of hope and praise in the midst of grief and loss.
