Far Beyond Our Understanding

Music: Tune Rathbun by Ithamar Conkey, 1849

This new hymn has the cross as its central theme and is especially suited for Lent and Holy Week. It was inspired by a sermon by the Rev. David Cooney, pastor of the Towson, Maryland, United Methodist Church. The sermon was based on 1 Corinthians 1:18.
