Carol of the Bells (Timerding)

Music: Ukrainian Carol, Mykola Leontovych, 1914
Setting for Handbells by Eric F. Timerding

Eric F. Timerding has created a wonderful arrangement of the Christmas holiday favorite, Carol of the Bells. This setting is simple and adaptable for many bell choirs, but the texture is quite interesting as the piece continues to build. Use this as an accessible and showy piece for more advanced choirs, or a wonderful setting to teach to intermediate groups as well.

This piece could also be performed by 1-3 children, youth, or adults on 4 bells (the Eb-D-Eb-C motif) as a piano plays the rest of the score.
