-Reflect and make new friends in small groups.
-Make connections between the Wesleyan heritage and missional leadership for today
Only the most promising and talented clergy and lay leaders were chosen for the 2015 Pilgrimage. You can read more about the pilgrims here:
“I was honored to participate in the 2013 Pilgrimage and thoroughly enjoyed it. I benefited so much as a Methodist and as a person from my connection with the wonderful group I traveled with. We walked in the way of John Wesley, which was thrilling and humbling. I recommend this journey for any Methodist!” -Bonnie Seay | Madison, TN
“This Pilgrimage impacted my ministry in amazing ways and I`m excited to see it continue to change others.” -Shane Moore | Pullman, WA
The Wesley Pilgrimage is open to all United Methodist lay and clergy leaders.
You will explore: Epworth, the Wesley’s birthplace; Oxford, where John & Charles Wesley led the Holy Club; Bristol, the home of the Methodist societies and class meeting; London, where both Wesley brothers experienced assurance of salvation and John Wesley built the center of British Methodism; and Salisbury, home to a vital Methodist congregation once served by Francis Asbury.
This event qualifies for 3 CEUs
The pilgrimage is physically demanding. If you have mobility limitations, we recommend you consider the Educational Opportunities Wesley Heritage Tour.
